August 20, 2006 - CommGate announces expansion plans across Asia Expands management team to include industry veterans. Launches 2 new products – CommGate Shield and CommGate Professional. Targets growth through resellers.
CommGate, a leading provider of Secure Business Servers for Small and Medium Enterprises, plans to expand aggressively in Asia. The second operations hub in Asia after Singapore is now based out of Bangalore, India. To support the growth and bring in appropriate skills CommGate is inducting two senior technology and marketing professionals into the Management Team.
Abhik Biswas joins the team as Senior Vice President of Product Management & Marketing. Abhik is responsible for marketing, product strategy, roadmaps and also heads the Indian operations of CommGate. He has held positions in Engineering, Professional Services and Product Management more than 18 years in the software re-engineering, credit/debit card processing, network and systems management domains with various organizations including Tata Consultancy Services, VeriFone/Hewlett Packard, Computer Associates and Cisco Systems.
Ramesh Raman joins as Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for setting the technology direction to ensure that CommGate's products meet customers' current and future business requirements. In a career spanning over 20 years, Ramesh has worked with leading companies like Hinditron, Digital Equipment, Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems and Convergys on Real-time Data Acquisition Systems, Data communication Systems and Network Management products like Openview Network Node Manager, and CiscoWorks Resource Manager Essentials.

CommGate Professional 3.2 – Powerful and ready to run out-of-box, this all-in-one server solution covers the whole spectrum of corporate server needs. With its intuitive graphical user interface, companies have powerful server features like email, firewall, anti-spam, anti-virus, DNS, and a host of network management capabilities within their control.
Early previews from customers have yielded very positive feedback regarding the quality and value of CommGate’s products. The model of managing the software patches and constant updating of security policies remotely has also been well received.
