January 26, 2008 - Collector Live, the Internet’s fastest growing comic book collecting web site announces the addition of Arcana Studio as a partner in 2008.
Comic Collector Live CEO Joe Butler was excited about Sean and Arcana partnering with CCL. “Sean is an incredible talent and we couldn’t be happier that Arcana is on board along with the likes of Top Cow, CGC, Moonstone, Big City Comics, AAM-Markosia (UK) and ComicsPro,” said Butler. “We believe that working with quality partners helps all of us and the comic book industry in general.”
Arcana began in 2004 as a studio creating comics under the leadership of Sean O’Reilly, and in just over three years has published over 90 comics and 9 books, reaching sales of over 1,000,000 books. Nominated for a Harvey Award and winning the Shuster Award for Top Publisher are just a few of the accolades that Arcana is very proud of.
Arcana has had great success with titles such as Kade, Ezra, 100 Girls, Dragon’s Lair, Gearhead, and Dead Men Tell no Tales.
Comic Collector Live Event Coordinator and Lead Researcher Steve Boyd has been working on a project that will benefit the Hero Initiative and one of its ‘legends’ by producing a very special comic book variant in early 2008. “I can’t reveal the artist just yet,” says Boyd, “but he is well known for his work on Transformers, Ghost Rider, Defenders and others. Let’s just say it will be a major story of 2008 for comic book enthusiasts.”
