March 20, 2007 - When Comic Collector Live debuted in New York in late February, there were many question marks about just how the comic book community would react to the free software.
With almost 15 thousand users and growing each day, CCL has begun to make its mark as perhaps the best and most complete comic book system available. So can the best get better? Joe Butler, creator of Comic Collector Live, says yes it can. "We have been inundated with refining our database and have had to hire extra workers to keep up with all the change requests -- but its a good problem to have," says Butler. "We hope to be ahead of the curve as we get set to launch our exciting Live Market this Spring."
The Live Market will allow collectors, enthusiasts, and even casual users and visitors to the website the opportunity to buy comics. Those who use the software will be able to organize their collections easily and either fill in the holes or sell select issues within the user base and to anyone looking to buy comics on the website. The Live Market will be a great place for Comic Book Stores to list their inventory. "We have had very high interest from retailers who want to expand their reach and CCL's Live Market will help them do just that," says Butler. "The features are amazing. Its like eBay meets ETrade for comic books"
Currently CCL's tech department is revamping the website which already has a very active community, and will soon give users more options including news and updates as CCL moves into the Live Market.
