comGateway was established in 2000 with its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore.
comGateway operates online shopping services that enable customers in Asia Pacific to shop freely and more cost effectively from over 300,000 U.S. stores..Currently, the majority of U.S. merchants sell and ship to domestic U.S. customers only and those that do often charge high shipping fees. comGateway provides a complete suite of online shopping services including order processing and fulfilment, secured online verification, as well as an economical and reliable delivery service.
All comGateway’s users are automatically assigned their own unique address at our U.S. operations, located in Portland, Oregon. Our users can place their orders through comGateway, with practically any U.S. merchant and have them shipped to their U.S. address. comGateway has a proprietary logistics system, that allows our users to easily manage the shipping of their packages. Purchases from different merchants can be consolidated to save on international shipping charges, and users can choose either our express or standard service.
comGateway places a strong emphasis on providing and maintaining a secure environment for its users and merchants. We have a strict security system which verifies all our registered users and authenticates every transaction. We have also developed a proprietary security measure called ePOD, short for electronic Proof of Delivery. ePOD ensures that packages can only be received by the designated person. This system is especially useful to manage sensitive or valuable deliveries.
Currently, comGateway operates a number of online shopping products, the first of which was launched in 2005. comGateway operates commercially in Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, China, Sri Lanka, India, Brunei and Tahiti.
To establish trust and credibility with customers and merchants, comGateway collaborates with leading banks, credit card companies and logistics partners. Therefore comGateway has linked up with Visa as its official payment partner and DHL Express as its official logistics partner for its latest product, OneNow.com.
OneNow.com will launch first in Hong Kong, with other locations in Asia Pacific to follow soon. These locations include Taiwan, China, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Korea and Japan. In order to provide superior service to its growing customer base, comGateway now operates a 24-hours a day, 365-days a year customer service centre—the first for an online shopping service provider in the Asia Pacific.
