December 20, 2008 - DENVER, Colo. - Today, College Shack, an online networking social site exclusively for college students, celebrated it's one month anniversary since launching to the general public. Since launching, the site has undergone a major revamping of its look and layout. Major changes such as improvement to existing modules and new modules being launched have helped propel College Shack to a very successful month.
The new look represents the change and evolution of the internet itself into Web 2.0 and College Shack, will always be on that edge of technology to give our users the best experience they can get from an online networking social site. The additional modules added will help our users get the best experience from our site by adding features which they can user in everyday life, helping them with everything from group projects at school to keeping in touch with old friends and networking with new ones.
Due to such a successful month, College Shack is rewarding all of its current and future users with two free Give-a-Ways. The Give-a-Ways include one 4th Generation iPod Nano with 16GB of storage and one 4th Generation iPod Nano with 8GB of storage. The following information is on how you can win the iPod Nanos.
The first iPod, a fourth generation iPod Nano with 16GB of storage, will go to the person who refers the most confirmed people to College Shack in the next month. In order to track who you refer, we have finished our invite module. You may send out emails to friends which will include a link to the site allowing us to track who referred them or you can use the link on the invite page and just have people visit it. Be sure that if you are just giving out the link, that you do give the link as it is on the invite page to be properly credited. The email sent our will automatically contain the proper link. On January 17th, 2009, we will announce the winner.
The second give away will be a 4th Generation 8GB iPod Nano to a random active and confirmed member. To be considered for this prize, you must log in between now and January 17th, 2008, change your profile picture/add some information about yourself and have at least 1 friend on College Shack (sorry, I don't count). The one exception to this rule is that the person who wins the first iPod Nano by referring the most people is ineligible to win this one. All other users, including newly registered users who meet the criteria have the possibility to win.
If you choose not to take the iPod Nano, you can take a stock option instead. 80,000 shares of Foxcore Corporation Common Stock for the person who refers the most people and 40,000 shares of Foxcore Corporation Common Stock for our randomly selected user. Remember, you can have to choose either the iPod Nano or stock option, not both.
