December 05, 2007 - Entries for the 25th Annual 2008 CNW/FFWA Florida State Writing Competition are now being accepted by Florida Freelance Writers Association, the sponsoring organization. Entry is open to everyone; neither FFWA membership nor Florida residency is required.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top winners in each category, with honorable mention certificates for near-winners. Prizes range from $100 to $50.
Divisions and Categories include:
●Nonfiction (Previously Published Article/Essay/Nonfiction Book Chapter; Unpublished or Self-Published Article/Essay/Nonfiction Book Chapter),
●Fiction (Short Story; Novel Chapter),
●Children’s Literature (Short Story/Nonfiction Article/Book Chapter/Poem),
●Poetry (Traditional/Free Verse)
Each entry MUST be accompanied by an official entry form. Contest deadline is March 15, 2008.
