March 14, 2009 - timelessrides.com, a website devoted to American classic car and muscle car enthusiasts, was recently updated and now includes nearly every tool a classic car fan needs. All sections of the website are free, including the classified ads section and the forums.
The creation of the website began as a hobby for Dan Fehn. He combined his two favorite hobbies, website design and classic cars, and at the beginning the site just documented a few of his favorite cars. The idea was that he was going to do some research into some of his favorite models, so he had the detailed information before purchasing his first muscle car. He figured he'd share the information online with other fans, since he was doing the research anyway. Soon after, all kinds of classic car restorers and fans were emailing him asking detailed questions of where they could find specific information on certain models. He tried helping when he could, but the requests were overwhelming and he decided to add forums to the site, so restorers could use each other for resources.
A free classified ads section followed, allowing users to post their classic car ad for free, including pictures. The goal is to have the most classified ads for any classic car site on the internet, helping all fans find their dream car. Why search for hours between multiple sites, creating accounts on each site to contact the seller, when it can be all done on one site?
The newest project on the site is the complete documentation of specific models. This will include year by year and model by model information, including manufacturing information, VIN and other decoding information, available options, paint options, and restoration tips. This information, along with the classified ads and forums, should be of help to any classic car fan and their restoration projects.
