April 21, 2007 - This clarification is in response to a press release issued by Duncan Industries, LLC. on April 16, 2007, entitled “Duncan Industries Kicks It Up A Notch.” That story inadvertently included confusing information regarding Duncan Industries, LLC. role in the production of Emeril’s Household Mitt and Emeril’s Contour Mitt. The information appearing here, below, is the REVISED information about Duncan Industries, LLC. role on these projects.
Emeril’s Household Mitt and Emeril’s Contour Mitt are made from Duncan’s patented FLXaPrene™ material and technology that is designed, developed, patented, and produced by Duncan Industries, LLC., Valencia, Calif.
Waterford Wedgewood PLC’s Ashling Corporation of Anaheim, Calif., trading as WC-Designs, has asked Duncan Industries, LLC. to produce selected Duncan’s oven mitts with Emeril’s private label under the licensing agreement W-C Designs has with celebrity Chef Emeril Lagassee.
Duncan Industries, LLC. does not have the right to use or sell directly the Emeril name and is not able to produce any other Duncan Industries, LLC. products outside the planned production with W-C Designs and/or Emeril’s name without further authorization from W-C Designs.
The products are available now in specialty and regional department stores nationwide.
