November 05, 2008 - City Apartments is one of the first Italian companies operating in the hospitality sector to adopt Google’s StreetView function as part of its efforts to provide clear, complete and engaging information for its database of vacation rental properties.
Users are now able to click on the location map and get a street-level view of the property and the ability to ‘walk’ around the neighbourhood.
Giuliano Bettini, founder and owner of City Apartments, believes that Google StreetView will make a big difference to the overall user experience.
“Location is very important and we have been describing the immediate surroundings of our apartments as well as we can -- Google StreetView is far better than that. It’s as if someone can walk out of the apartment and take a stroll around the area and see what shops, monuments and places of interests there are. They can get a feel of the type of neighbourhood and even distances.”
Street views are available for apartments in Rome, Florence and any city covered by Google.
City Apartment’s website is available at: http://www.cityapartments.it
