  • Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) November 19, 2011 - Citrin Cooperman Partners Bill Briggs, CPA, and Brian J. "B.J." Hoffman, CPA, CFE, presented a 2011 tax update to members and guests of the Mid-Atlantic Staffing Association's (MASA) Breakfast Seminar program held in October at the Wyndham Mt. Laurel in New Jersey. Briggs and Hoffman, both Partners in the accounting, tax and business consulting firm's Philadelphia office, addressed the Internal Revenue Service's "Voluntary Classification Settlement Program," the current tax legislative landscape and year-end tax planning. MASA tapped the two CPAs to share their expertise with business owners, who regularly face new tax law enactments, revised code interpretations and heated debate over proposed tax legislation.

"B.J. and I were pleased to join MASA in presenting this valuable educational seminar," stated Briggs. "Today's economic instability, together with constantly changing tax regulations, makes it difficult for business owners to remain current and compliant while taking advantage of tax planning opportunities. We enjoy assisting MASA members and guests in their efforts to do just that."
