October 30, 2009 - The Awards is the first of its kind in the region, being both wholly independent and based entirely on the opinions of over 5,000 consumers who hold and use payment cards polled across Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
In addition, Citibank also clinched awards in Indonesia for Best Premium Credit Card and Best Product Innovation for its Citibank Cash Back credit card; in Malaysia for Best Card Issuer, Best Rewards Program for its Citibank World Privileges credit card and Best Product Innovation for its Citibank-Shell credit card; in the Philippines for Best New Product for its Citibank-Rustan’s credit card; and in Singapore for Best New Product for its Citibank Dividend Signature credit card.

The consumer poll used an on-line research methodology where respondents were asked to rate card products that were issued in their country and in the card categories that they held and the products that they were aware of. The regional awards are based on averages taken from the individual consumer ratings in each country.
