June 05, 2008 - Middleborough - Cirelli Marketplace in Middleborough, MA has brewed up a fun way to celebrate the upcoming summer season. Dads, Grads (21 and over), and June brides are all welcome to join in a month long celebration of summer as Cirelli Marketplace offers complimentary micro brew tastings from their specialized selection of craft beers on Saturdays from June 7 through July 5 from 12 noon to 4 pm.
Edgar “Buzzy” MacDonald, Cirelli’s own resident expert who has decades of experience in the industry, will be on hand to pour, explaining the nuances of each type of micro brew. The first tasting on June 7th will feature selections from Atlantic Brewing Company of Bar Harbor, Maine, Delaware’s Dogfish Head and additional organic beers.
Quality and diversity are the hallmarks of Cirelli Marketplace’s collection of artisan beers that includes selections from across the globe. Hard-to-find Belgium ales are available including Chimay and Orval, authentic Trappist beers brewed within a Trappist monastery, under the control and responsibility of the monastic community. Only 6 beers in Belgium can carry the appellation "Trappist": Chimay, Orval, Rochefort, Westmalle, Westvleteren and Achel.
Additional ethnic beers are in the mix including Tsingtao, the most popular Chinese beer in the United States, Sagres from Portugal, the abbey beer Affligem from the Flemish village of Oproyk, and Alsatian Fischer beer from France.
Local New England microbrews are also well represented with Long Trail Ale’s Double Bag from Vermont, family owned Vermont based Otter Creek, Massachusetts’ Wachusett Brewing Company, and Boston’s own Sam Adams. Craft beers from across the US are also part of the selection including beers from New York’s Brooklyn Brewery, Delaware’s Dogfish Head, Leinenkugel’s Wisconsin brews, San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing, and Colorado’s Flying Dog Ales.
In addition to the Saturday micro brew tastings, Cirelli Marketplace really kicks off the summer season on June 7th with Cirelli’s first Classic Car Cruise Night of the season from 4 – 8 pm, and Cirelli’s Annual BBQ Bonanza from 2 – 6 pm.
To join in the fun at Cirelli Marketplace take Exit 6 off of Route 495 and follow Route 44 East to Middleborough, travel 3/4 the way around the rotary and take Route 18 North toward Bridgewater, then take the first right onto Commerce Boulevard, the entrance to Cirelli Marketplace is on the left.
