May 18, 2007 - Choice Escapes has announced the launch of its 200 Founders Membership plan, saying it is unlike any other vacation destination club plan.
President and CEO David Stewart said for starters, the new plan exempts members from all annual dues.
Annual dues are members’ contribution to taxes, utility bills and other costs including fees for the maintenance and management of homes.
No Annual Dues Membership Plan
Destination clubs are reputed to be the fastest growing side in the luxury travel market and Choice Escapes sees its 200 Founders Membership plan as adding a new and more flexible dimension. “It opens up the best of all worlds to existing and prospective members,” Stewart said. ”For a one time contribution of $150,000, the new plan is an out-and-out better combination of quality and value,” he added.
Stewart said that as more and more people are made aware that Choice Escapes’ offers affordable family vacation home club membership; they also will come to appreciate the continuous expansion of its portfolio of luxurious houses and destinations.
He said that’s all the more reason why Choice Escapes is so excited by the interest and take-up of its latest plan. As the title implies membership of the plan is capped at 200. Apart from dispensing with annual dues, the 200 Founders Membership plan also allows members a longer advance reservation period. In addition, the two-hundred ‘200 Founders Membership’ members have the freedom to exercise exclusive options. These include changing their preferences from year to year, staying in the same ‘Escape’ for two consecutive weeks and a guaranteed four advance reservation weeks as well as unlimited short notice vacations.
Choice of Memberships
Stewart said that while the 200 Founders Membership plan is drawn into the spotlight he was mindful of the importance to keep other Choice Escapes plans in focus. He pointed out that in all there are now six membership plans, from $8,995, that can be customised to members’ needs.
