May 25, 2008 - HONG KONG – More than 80 exhibitors participated in Global Sources' (NASDAQ: GSOL) Care & Share charity program held during the April China Sourcing Fairs (http://www.chinasourcingfair.com) in Hong Kong. Five truckloads of donated items were given to non-profit organization Crossroads International to distribute to people affected by natural disasters, conflict and in economically depressed communities.
Display samples were contributed by exhibitors following the spring China Sourcing Fairs: Gifts & Home Products, Baby & Children's Products, Electronics & Components, Fashion Accessories and Underwear & Swimwear held at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. Exhibitors donated products ranging from toys to consumer electronics and products for the home.
Global Sources' Chairman and CEO, Merle A. Hinrichs, said: "Thanks to the generosity of our exhibitors, the Care & Share program continues to grow. This April, we collected more products than ever before and thanks to Crossroads International, these items will reach the people who need them most."
