China's Recovery Planned, Zetland Fiduciary Names Top Economic Regions in China for Investment

The shrinking of China's economy has been the cause of much consternation in early 2009; however, economists are now widely predicting a recovery by mid-2009. On the back of this, Zetland Fiduciary Group has named their top economic regions in China for investment. End Quote

(1888PressRelease) April 23, 2009 - Zetland Fiduciary Group has pinpointed the regions in China that will be big money-spinners for offshore investors, with the country's economic future widely believed to be optimistic for late 2009.

The World Bank named China as "a bright spot in the region and the global economy", and said that its economy would likely bottom out in the middle of the year, with a resurgence in late 2009. That recovery is expected to be in full swing by mid 2010.

According to one of Zetland's Chinese managers, Jack Wu, disparity between Chinese regions has made it difficult for investors to get a grip on the country as a whole. Mr Wu named 12 regions in China that are likely to experience the strongest growth amid the country's general recovery:
• Shanghai
• Beijing
• Tianjin
• Zhejiang
• Jiangsu
• Guangdong
• Shandong
• Liaoning
• Fujian
• Inner Mongolia
• Hebei
• Heitongjiang

Almost all of the regions are in the East, with the exception of Liaoning and Heitongjiang in the Northeast, and Inner Mongolia in the West. Provincially, Guangdong is the largest economy in China, with the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta expected to recover the quickest.
