Chatham Street Cafe And Catering To Host 'LIVE" Art Show

Downtown Cary Restaurant To Host Month-Long Fund-Raising Event To Benefit A Cary Student.


Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) October 28, 2009 - Gayla Bonke, owner and chef at Chatham Street Café & Catering (www.chathamstreetcafe.com), located at 140 E. Chatham St., has announced that the restaurant will host the “LIVE” art show, featuring work from students of the Egg in Nest art studio in Apex, N.C. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the COTA (Children’s Organ Transplant Association) fund for Marie Neal, a student at Athens Drive High School in Cary. The artwork will be on display at the Chatham Street Café from Tuesday, Oct. 27 through Monday, Nov. 30. Donation tickets will be available for $10 at Egg in Nest Studio and Chatham Street Café throughout the course of the show. Ticket holders who present their ticket at Chatham Street Café will automatically have 15 percent of their purchase put back into the donation fund. The ticket includes admission to the open house event taking place on Sunday, Nov. 8, at Chatham Street Café, where there will be live music, light refreshments and games for the children. There will be wine and desserts available for purchase with 15 percent of all purchases going back into the donation fund.

DETAILS:
- Marie Neal is a junior at Athens Drive High School. Marie was diagnosed with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a genetic condition that is destroying her liver. She has been medically recommended for a life-saving liver transplant.

- Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national nonprofit organization that helps children and young adults who need or have had a life-saving transplant by raising funds to pay transplant-related expenses.
