December 11, 2007 - Celebrity Chef Maria Liberati, the author of The Basic Art of Italian Cooking™, was recently given the opportunity to interview one of her favorite television stars, Dick Van Patten, for her monthly segment of “What’s In Your Fridge?” In the interview, Van Patten reveals his favorite meals and choice indulgences, as well as who he would like to dine with if given the opportunity.
Van Patten’s interest in Maria’s interview stems from his respect for and love of Italian food. Says the 'Eight is Enough' star, “I grew up in an Italian household, and my grandmother was the best cook I’ve ever met. So you could say that I have had a lifelong love of good Italian food.”
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1977 premiere of 'Eight is Enough', Van Patten has recently published "Dick Van Patten’s Totally Terrific TV Trivia" (Square One), which guarantees an entertaining and informative tour of TV history.
