September 14, 2007 - Louisville, KY – Cefiore’s latest store opening was an enormous success, helping to raise money for the Crusade for Children’s Charity as well as introduce the community to Cefiore’s Italian soft-serve. Cefiore raised over $500 dollars for the charity, not counting the money collected in donation boxes within the store.
The WHAS Crusade for Children, Inc. was established in 1954 by WHAS-TV. Their mission is to raise money for agencies, schools and hospitals to better the lives of special needs children. In its first 54 years, the Crusade has raised more than $123 million.
“We are excited to work with this important charitable organization,” said Cefiore spokesperson, Caroline Yi. “Customers were coming in all day, and around 8:00pm, when the event was coming to an end, there was a line out the door.”
D.J. Jason Eustice and four Cefiore Street Team girls helped pass out coupons, collect donations for the charity and introduce Louisville to Cefiore.
“Many people felt that the taste was new, they liked the fancy interior, unique name Cefiore, and that we were helping to raise money for the Crusade for Children,” said store owner, Charley Park. “We will also leave the donation boxes in the store for another week to continue to help.”
The Louisville location marks the 18th store Cefiore has opened to date, with plans to open several more across America in the upcoming months. Cefiore is dedicated to its philanthropic efforts as well continuing to give back to the communities that have been so supportive of their business.
