September 30, 2009 - PROVO, Utah - Career Step, a leading healthcare education company, has partnered with Hillsborough Community College in Tampa Bay, Fla. to offer training to individuals interested in pursing careers in medical transcription and medical coding and billing.
“We’re excited about the career education opportunities our partnership will bring to the students of Hillsborough Community College,” said Career Step’s Vice President of Business Services, Cameron Loflin. “Through our partnership with HCC, students will gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the growing fields of medical transcription and medical coding and billing.”
The new programs will expand Hillsborough Community College’s online offerings. Students who enroll in this/these online courses will have the flexibility to train entirely on their own schedules, increasing the career training options of many, especially non-traditional, students.

Hillsborough Community College will be holding an informational Open House on Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at 39 Columbia Drive, Tampa Bay, Fla. This session will provide more information for those interested in learning more about the advantages of training through Hillsborough Community College’s Career Step offerings and the attractive career opportunities in the fields of medical transcription and medical coding and billing.
