June 18, 2009 - Capital Corp Merchant Banking, Inc., an Orlando based global firm specializing in international project financing, and their President, Mr. Gilles Herard Jr., are proud to introduce Mr. Deon Long as the Company’s newly appointed Private Legal Counsel.
Mr. Long received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida and University of Michigan School of Law, respectively.
Mr. Long has served for eight years on the St. Johns River Water Management District, including two (2) terms as Chairman. Also, Mr. Long has served as Chairman of Children’s First of Central Florida, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, and the New Covenant Baptist Church of Orlando and as a member of the Uhuru Groups.
Additionally, Martindale Hubbell rates Mr. Long, as “BV” and Mr. Long’s practice areas are primarily corporate and municipal finance, corporate business law, business formation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate litigation and government law.
Mr. Long’s roster of “Private” clients include Aqua America, Inc., Diversified Drilling, Inc., the Port of St. Joe Port Authority, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority, the Orange County School Board and various other private and governmental entities. In the past, Mr. Long has represented Budget National Rental Car, UBS Financial Services, Jackson Securities, Goldman Sachs, J.P.
