March 26, 2008 - Dreaming of a Land of Cockayne - the paintings of Coplu
We all have dreams and some of us dream even when we are awake, some of us are daydream believers and inhabit another world in our mind, like that world that was described in the Middle Ages in Europe as the “Land of Cockayne”.
Vancouver based artist Coplu is going to exhibit his series of paintings titled “Land of Dream” on 18th April in Singapore, on 22nd April, in Kuala Lumpur. Artist is going to perform live painting on 20-21st April, in Kuala Lumpur. Exhibitions will consist of 50 original paintings, accompanying a catalogue of his work. Openings will be honoured by Canadian Embassies and supported by Credit Swiss.
Coplu has been painting for twenty-five years and exhibiting throughout Europe, Asia and North America. Bright colors of the acrylic paint, combined with large size of canvasses, a world has been created by Coplu draws the viewer in, to take part in this world of simplicity and depth of feeling.
