Until now, students could only pursue this degree online through CCSD's affiliate, Stevens-Henager College, Salt Lake City/Murray.

The goal of the degree is to train graduates for the higher level of responsibility that comes with managerial roles, and courses are designed to build on the existing business proficiency of candidates, with special focus on improving their organizational, statistical, and communication skills. The program includes courses such as Financial Accounting for Management, Corporate Finance, International Management, General Management, Developing Business Strategy, Leadership Theory, and more. In addition to completing these courses, students are also required to work on a project or write a thesis that exemplifies their knowledge of the subjects learned during their MBA program.

By making this program available on ground, California College San Diego hopes to attract individuals who prefer the personal instruction and interactions of classroom-based study to the remote approach of online education.

The San Diego campus is just minutes away from the city center and offers comfortable facilities for its students. With its temperate climate, natural beauty, and rich culture, San Diego makes an idyllic setting for a college campus. The city also boasts a thriving economy driven by the manufacturing, IT, and healthcare industries, among others.

Interested candidates can begin the enrollment process by scheduling a tour of the campus in San Diego, where they can also meet with a financial advisor and learn about the various tuition assistance options that may be available to them if they qualify.

To be eligible for admission to this program, candidates must have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Classes for the first group of on-campus MBA students begin on March 28, 2011.
