June 11, 2009 - Calgary, AB Alta West Mortgage CEO Chuck McKitrick announced today that the Alta West Mortgage “First Place Mortgage Investment Corporation” was registered in British Columbia as an extra provincial company with the name AWM First Place Mortgage Investment Corporation. The First Place MIC is designed to only take first mortgages with lower loan to value ratios. Because of this recent development, MIC services are now offered in both BC and Alberta.
“The registration of the First Place MIC in British Columbia will allow for first position mortgages to be considered” commented McKitrick, “Having our MIC registered in BC will provide us with a competitive advantage because more mortgages can now be considered allowing us greater ease in obtaining our target return for investors.” he continued. “Moreover, having more mortgages available for consideration within the MIC will also us to constantly adjust the underwriting criteria to better suit the ever-changing market conditions that we face today.”
The First Place MIC is an appealing investment for someone who seeks a stabilized annual return within the range of 6%-9% with an adverse investment risk due to the security of first mortgages.
