October 17, 2009 - A full-service real estate firm – today announced that Andrew L. Gutman, CFO, Farbman Group / NAI Farbman, has been recognized with the 2009 President’s Award from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Metropolitan Detroit. The President’s Award is given each year by the BOMA president to a member who has demonstrated significant contributions to furthering the organization’s mission during the previous year.
Gutman was recognized for his dedication, leadership and service to the association, as well as his ongoing efforts to help shape the commercial real estate industry.

Gutman started with Farbman Group as a senior financial analyst more than a decade ago. He has been CFO for the past six years. He has helped to revamp the company’s corporate insurance process, conceptualized innovative programs like Michigan Now!, which sought to encourage job growth in Michigan, and was a driving force behind Farbman University, an internal continuing education program for company employees.
A Novi resident, Gutman received a bachelor of arts in accounting from Michigan State University in East Lansing and his real estate salesperson’s license at Middleton Real Estate in Southfield.
