Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) February 14, 2008 - The Boston University Conference Center at Tyngsboro announces the completion of significant technology renovations to create the most cutting edge interactive presentation auditorium in the Northern Massachusetts/Southern New Hampshire area.

“The upgrades to the auditorium are something we’ve been planning for a while,” says Kathy Sullivan, Director of Sales & Operations at the Conference Center. “We wanted to offer a contemporary, professional environment for the businesses and groups who need a large facility to host their meetings, lectures and events. As the largest facility of its kind in the area, our clients and their guests now have access to the best presentation technology available.”

The technology upgrades include: a Crestron Keypad Touchscreen Podium; VCR/DVD/CD control at the podium; dual wireless speaker system featuring a receiver, handheld and lavalier microphones and duel speakers for voice and computer programs. These renovations, totaling more than $25,000 in improvements, make the auditorium one of the largest, high tech, stadium seating meeting spaces in the area. Unlike other similar facilities, the Wang Auditorium is available for rental by any company, group or business for days or evenings.

The 280+ stadium seat auditorium was built in 1987, when the offices now part of BU were owned by the Wang Institute. At that time, the facility was considered a state of the art conference and educational facility. The Institute eventually merged with Boston University providing quality high-tech and corporate education for area professionals.

Today the Conference Center continues to host classes provided by the BU Corporate Education Center, as well as training classrooms, meeting rooms and dining facilities for local businesses, organizations and groups.
