The two stories are in vastly diverse genres. One is a strange horror story and, the other, is a hard-nosed crime novel
One Tenth of One Tenth of a Second tells the story of a man involved in a daring crime. He is a safe-cracker who finds himself in over his head. As the master criminal who recruited him gets angrier and angrier, the young man realizes he may be in over his head. The story is an edge-of-your-seat thrill-ride where the outcome is hidden until the very last instant
The Suicide Man tells a simple but strange tale. A man at a bar declares that has must kill himself before midnight before each day. If he doesn’t, the world will end. This is the strange premise of a story that leads form the normal, into the bizarre, to the terrifying.
Kathleen Newton, editor-in-chief of the online horror fiction site Gravediggings.com, has said about Mr. Alaspa: “He is one of the best young writers I have run across in recent years. One of these days he is going to break out and everyone will be able to enjoy his works.”
