September 20, 2008 - Browndorf PEM, LLC today announced that Jonathan Sadowsky has joined as Managing Director of Finance / Portfolio Manager. Jonathan T. Sadowsky comes to Browndorf, LLC after almost six years as a Fixed Income Hedge Fund Portfolio Manager and Researcher at Barclays Global Investors (BGI) in San Francisco, CA, specializing in the area of corporate debt, with a focus on high yield credits and bank loans. He was instrumental in developing investment strategies and trade ideas for the hedge fund as well as overseeing asset valuation, with an emphasis on derivatives, and the creation and maintenance of detailed risk profiles of the fund's complex holdings. He was also responsible for all financing activities on the fixed income desk, which included leverage creation for the hedge fund as well as protective liquidity strategies.
With fifteen years in the asset management business on both, the buy-side and sell-side, and a strong quantitative background, Mr. Sadowsky's career has focused on modeling, analyzing and understanding the intricate risks of every investment in his portfolios, with a strong emphasis on derivatives, especially credit default swaps (CDS).
Before BGI, Mr. Sadowsky was a quantitative analyst on the California Municipal Bond Desk at American Century Investments in Mountain View, CA, using matrix mathematics to better understand the relationships between market yield curve movements and portfolio risks.
Mr. Sadowsky graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Material Science and Engineering in 1993 from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Mr. Sadowsky also studied for his MBA at the Stern School of Business, New York University from 1998 to 2000.
