June 30, 2009 - Newport Beach, Calif. - Browndorf PEM, LLC today announced a new member to their growing team. Craig Taggart will be the managing director of marketing.
As Managing Director he is responsible for the marketing effort of our Synthetic Longevity-Linked Senior Life Settlements Hedge Fund as well as our Wealth Advisory Group. This involves sourcing institutions that focus on the following areas such as seeding / incubation, Fund of Funds, Family Offices, Pensions, and Endowments. Craig has combined his transactional skills, investor contacts and financing relationships with his years of experience in investment management to firm that will allow us to grow our Assets under Management exponetionally in the future.
Mr. Taggart has 10 years of experience with his career starting at TD Waterhouse. He worked with various portfolio management software programs with the firm’s internal and external investment advisors to reconcile daily allocations of trades. This position led him to a financial advisor position at UBS Financial Services and ML Stern & Co. where he managed fixed-income portfolios for high net worth individuals and gained years of valuable experience in marketing and business development. There was sustained growth in the book of business during his four years as an investment advisor, totaling over 100 clients at the peak. Craig gained asset management experience as all fixed income securities were utilized to generate the most attractive yield, while being very diligent on the risk parameters of each position.
After this experience it was time to gain some capital markets experience at Manufacturers Bank as a Portfolio Manager / Vice President in the Treasury Department of the Bank. While there Craig gained valuable experience on the buy-side of the investment management business by performing fixed-income trades for both the bank and trust portfolios totaling just over $2.1 billion in assets under management. The positions in the two portfolios mainly consisted of commercial paper, mortgage backed securities, and high grade corporate bonds. The banking experience led to the private equity alternative investment industry and my position with Browndorf PEM, LLC.
Mr. Taggart has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. Mr. Taggart earned his MBA from San Diego State University in San Diego.
