July 26, 2007 - Bronzes Of The Brave™ Honors War KIA At Birmingham Barons Pre-Game Ceremony On Military Appreciation Night
MEMPHIS, TENN. …The Bronzes Of The Brave™ Memorial Project is set to honor LCpl. Ryan G. Winslow, of Hoover, Alabama for his service and ultimate sacrifice to the United States of America in the War On Terror.
LCpl. Winslow, a member of H&S Company, 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, was killed on April 15, 2006 in Fallujah, Iraq. He died of multiple traumatic injuries when his HUM-V was attacked in combat operations by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device.)
As part of Military Appreciation Night at the Birmingham Barons Baseball Game Saturday July 28, 2007 Winslow’s father and mother, George and Mary Nell Winslow, also of Hoover, Alabama, will be presented with a permanent bronze bust statue of their son, American Hero LCpl. Ryan Winslow, in full military dress with medals. The bronze will be on permanent display in a venue to be determined. In the interim, it will be on display in the City Hall, Hoover, Alabama.
