December 10, 2008 - The top of the range BE-870FM has been given a software upgrade to allow fleet operators to disable the driver’s ability to adjust monitor settings, by locking the control panel, whilst retaining necessary functionality.
The seven inch TFT LCD flat screen colour monitor has single, split, triple and quad screen options with four camera inputs for front, side and rear view. Image options can be selected via five auto trigger signals such as selecting the turn indicator or reverse gear. The monitor is plug-and-play ready to accept satellite navigation or other add-ons.
The BE-870 FM is approved in accordance with the EU directive (2003/97/EC). The monitor also has an option to select either mirror image to match the picture created by the interior mirror, or normal view. The tamper proof monitor has an anti glare screen and sun shield for a sharp picture, is HALT tested CE and EMC approved
Brigade Electronics, global market leaders in reversing safety and all round visibility provide an extensive range of vehicle safety devices. Brigade’s camera-monitor systems are favoured over mirrors by fleet operators who experience frequently broken front mirrors in the truck wash and high repair costs. The monitor system is also preferred by drivers who like the wider angle of view provided by the cameras, with various split screen options to reduce confusion by an overload of mirrors, which in turn can create their own blind spots. Brigade has a range of CCTV systems suitable for vehicles from light vans to trucks and mobile plant equipment
