May 24, 2009 - Bond a Band Transmissions Ltd www.bondaband.com the Uk’s no1 manufacturer and supplier of Polyurethane Extrusions, Sheet and Drive Belts are pleased to announce they have just started to manufacture a new product “Expanded Thermoplastic Sheet”. [ the technical term being extruded flat Thermoplastic Polyurethane and TPE SEBS closed cell blown sheet.
The product is available in thickness ranges of TPU up to 7mm thick, density of 0.65 and starting at 60 Shore A hardness upwards. TPE SEBS available to a maximum unlaminated thickness of 5mm, density from 0.35 approx 20 shore A upwards. Available in widths up to 1300mm, in continuous length coils with a varied range of potential applications,

“We are extremely excited about the launch of this new products due to there wide range of applications. These can range from simply structure for laminating to TPU conveyor belts/timing belts, for the TPU Foam to applications in Automotive, Medical and others too numerous to mention. As this is a thermoplastic versatility in conversion into other products by lamination welding or thermoforming is endless.
On the TPE SEBS product the primary use is in the replacement of Neoprene Closed Cell foam which is limited in it’s versatility and is generally not recyclable. TPE SEBS is far more versatile in the fact these is produced in continuous length therefore no seems as with Neoprene, available in any colour, width and thickness and more importantly for the environment is 100% recyclable, offers improved memory, abrasive resistance and thermal properties over it’s Neoprene equivalent.”
