From an operations standpoint, the compact and transportable airtight signs inflate to full size in 15-30 minutes using the supplied air pump. Banners are then attached in a matter of minutes with bungee balls. The banners and their art work are easily changed for each advertiser or event. The inflatable signs provide multiple banner spaces so several advertisers can be displayed on a single unit. bbi systems are also linkable to create larger display sizes should the client request a bigger ad. After placement on water, the units tow behind a vessel via tow rings like an inflatable tube and virtually glide across the water. Several of the modular units can be towed by a small vessel or Jet Ski.
bbi has also designed a trash pick-up net that attaches to the sign. As the systems are towed, they skim trash off the surface of the water. In addition, lighting can be added so operators can earn revenue 24 hours a day.
