AWESOME, Glow in the dark Black Light Mini Golf now at the Docklands in Melbourne
(1888PressRelease) September 05, 2009 - When you look behind the giant murals and the larger than life props you find that Glow Golf Black Light Mini Golf is based on old fashioned family fun at an affordable price. Julie says “what we have here is a really awesome presentation of an old fashioned theme and we now have families waiting to try out our new business model, in fact we already have a couple of dozen bookings for parties and we don't even open until September. This is proving how popular this family entertainment facility is going to be” Michael was surfing the INTERNET one night looking for a business idea that was not common nor readily available in Australia and then try to build upon it, then he found Mini Golf but with a twist, Mini Golf but in the dark under UV lights where the fluorescent paints react and come alive .
The Blyth family having visited various Mini Golf courses throughout the years whilst on holidays, thought that this concept (that was originally thought of in the USA) was an ideal way to entertain whole families in Melbourne. The thoughts gained momentum and other ideas were stirred into the pot, Black Light Mini Golf based on an Australiana theme where not only will tourists learn something about our sun burnt country but children will also learn a thing or two.
“Once again just to add interest we tried to fit a many iconic themes into the mini golf as we could, the Kingswood Ute is there, Crocodile Dundee, Kylie the list just goes on.” But it now gets better again added to all this we have also introduced interactive lights and sounds, The radio in the old rusty Ute plays music from Australian legends, the Ute also goes biserk when you put the ball into the back of the Ute. Then theres the lights. You tee off looking over the majestic surrounds of Melbourne under a twinkling sky working your way around Australia through the outback and finally finishing at the Sydney Opera House. The last hole is the hardest hole but is the hole that gives the biggest reward, putt the ball here and, well lets just say your effort wont go unrewarded.
After constantly seeing indoor Children's Centers that just cater for children (and having 3 children themselves) Michael and Julie realised that affordable entertainment was missing for the whole family. Julie says “That she can not wait to have their first Wedding at the mini golf, with the white wedding dress absolutely glowing under the Black Lights, that would look so stunning” Michael had the vision and technical expertise and Julie has the marketing and creativity prowess to get the Family Fun Centres Pty Ltd Black Light Mini golf up and operating, and its the intangible assets that will make this business stand out from all the others. There are hundreds of other business and Franchises in Australia but this business is most notable, giving the public and visitors something new and exciting to look forward to. Michael has been working had developing both of the websites, the Standard website is a basic site for slower Internet connections and the animated website is a great website to experience if you have broadband.
The hard part of developing both of the website was implementing the on line booking system, Believed to be a first in Australia for childrens parties. You basically sign up, log on then you find the month and time that you would like to book your party (it will show up on line if that spot has been booked already) and pay your holding fee. You don't even have to call us as everything is automated, you will even get a email a week before your party starts. “How easy is that” you can book 24 hours a day on line, you don't have to wait for us to open alternatively you can contact us the old fashioned way during business hours and we will book over the phone there and then.
Again we have also implemented a new Party/function concept, you can now have a party along with the Party Loot bags, Trophy and Glow sticks but without the Party/Function room or food, this enables us to keep the cost down and make it affordable for everyone, Families can eat elsewhere around the Docklands precinct if required.”
