February 01, 2008 - The GrassRoots Steering Foundation, Inc. (GRSF), is pleased to announce its 2008 VOTE THE POWER CAMPAIGN!™ This initiative will commence on Friday, February 29, 2008 as representatives of GRSF and its partners will host a launch party to kick-off the campaign and the 2008 Presidential election season. At the launch, the new logo will be unveiled, the new website will be published, and the initiatives of the campaign will be introduced. Politicians have their own campaigns, VOTE THE POWER!™ is a campaign for the voters. The purpose of the campaign is two-fold:
1. To motivate communities of color to increase voter registration and participation in the political process.
2. To increase voter registration in the 40 year-old and under population.
All of the efforts of the VOTE THE POWER!™ Campaign are non-partisan and are solely intended to motivate the voting population in the state of Maryland.
