  • Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) October 20, 2014 - Birth Memoirs, a new online magazine, is thrilled to announce their launch.

Prior to the launch of Birth Memoirs, editor Christy Knutson noticed a lack of online communities that not only embraced the writing and telling of childbirth stories, but celebrated stories of all kinds. Birth Memoirs includes stories of childbirth in hospital settings, drug-free, cesarean section, birth with an epidural, home births, unassisted births, miscarriage and stillbirth, water births, adoption, medicated births and everything in between.

"The heart behind Birth Memoirs is one of celebration and encouragement," says Knutson. "Pregnancy and childbirth are deeply personal, life-changing experiences. All too often our experiences are marred by strong opinions, stress, worry and lack of positives stories. Birth Memoirs exists to celebrate the sharing, writing and reflection of our journeys."

Birth stories are submitted by authors, bloggers and everyday readers. The magazine encourages parents to set aside time and thoughtfully write out the stories of their children's birth, whether or not they ever choose to share them publicly. Writing one's birth story often brings healing, new memories and perspective to parents as well as encouragement and education for expectant parents.

Over the next few months Birth Memoirs will feature resource guides for pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and infancy as well as product reviews, monthly newsletters and more. Stay tuned and join the Birth Memoirs community at www.BirthMemoirs.com.
