BioMedtrix Approved For Race Continuing Education Credits For Veterinary Surgeons

BioMedtrix plans to offer newly-approved continuing education credits to veterinary surgeons at upcoming conference.

(1888PressRelease) June 15, 2008 - BioMedtrix, the world leader in the design and manufacture of veterinary orthopedics, has been approved as a provider of continuing education courses for veterinarians.

The approval was granted by RACE (Registry of Approved Continuing Education), a national clearinghouse for approval of veterinary continuing education providers and their programs, acknowledged by most states and several provinces in Canada. RACE is a service of the American Association of Veterinary State Boards. AAVSB reports national licensing examination scores to state boards.

BioMedtrix has pioneered several orthopedic protheses along with their surgical techniques, including the TATE elbow(TM) replacement system and the Universal Total Hip Replacement System which includes the patented BFX(TM) (biologic) and CFX(TM) (cemented) hip systems. The RACE approval will allow veterinarians from around the country to continue their education through learning these procedures, and thereby maintain with their state licensing requirements.

Greg Pych, BioMedtrix Vice President, said now that BioMedrix has its approved provider status, "we plan to submit our first application to offer [continuing education] credits at our Total Joint Conference this August."

On August 21-24, BioMedtrix will hold a conference at Lake Las Vegas, NV on "Issues in Canine Joint Replacement". In addition to presentations and discussions on total joint issues, classes are planned for the TATE Elbow(TM) System, the Canine Total Knee System, and the SOP(TM) trauma system. BioMedtrix is applying for continuing education status for these aspects of the conference.

Other courses and workshops have been held in the US and abroad, and have proven extremely popular even without the continuing education status. "We expect to add more courses in the future, and under the continuing education credits program, they should be an even greater asset to vets everywhere," said Pych. Courses and workshops are open to all veterinary surgeons worldwide.

A PDF brochure and registration form is available on the BioMedtrix Web site at http://www.biomedtrix.com. BioMedtrix.com is designed and maintained by the company's marketing and printing agency, VentureWise (http://venturewise.com).
