April 29, 2009 - Ms. Traci Hrudka, who received a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the College of the Desert in Palm Springs, California, began her passion in the drag racing industry back in 1982 by working for her father Tom and Uncle Joe at Mr. Gasket, Co. She spent nearly 20 years working in sales, customer service, marketing and advertising, where she learned the ins and outs of the entrepreneurship world, not to mention traveling the drag racing circuit. By the time 2007 rolled around, Ms. Hrudka needed to have the control and the ability to make her own decisions. It was then that she began Ellakit, LLC.
Ms. Hrudka is a firm believer that with "no sacrifice comes no victory." She credits her father, Tom Hrudka, for instilling such values, creating the drive and motivation to go after what she has worked so hard for. After leaving her father's company, she took a minor detour and dabbled in a very structured and technical industry, which including bar-coding and automated data collection, adding versatility to her career. But it wasn't until ten years later that she really was able to narrow in on her own business.
Ellakit, LLC is a company that responds to the needs of the "going green" environment. The company manufactures and distributes environmentally safe products for a variety of customers, including survival kits that carry all the essentials needed for anyone on the road, trade shows, and promotional give-a-ways, and due to the specialty artwork that can be created on the kit works as a great collectors item. The environmentally friendly cooler offers its customers an earth friendly cooler made from natural and biodegradable resources. It is reusable, waterproof and recyclable, as well as FDA approved. Ms. Hrudka believes that these products are necessary for the future, saying, "We need to preserve the environment and make it a safer place for our children and their children."
Ms. Traci Hrudka is affiliated with the Darrell Gwynn Foundation for the Cure of Paralysis, Put on the Brakes, an organization that involves schooling for the safety of teen driving, the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association, Performance Warehouse Association, and in 2008 she sponsored the Big Dog Garage Race Team with Jay Leno. She has won four President's Club awards for achievement in sales and customer service and a Person of the Year Award from the Performance Warehouse Association. Traci is currently working on a documentary film with regards to her oldest craze titled "Project 1320", as she believes that there is still an inherent need for people to understand the history of the evolution of the automotive market. After all, everyone loves to go fast, so Traci will show the world how it was done right to the finish line.
