Biltmore Who's Who Selects Philip DeStefano as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Philip DeStefano, President of New Operations at Fleetwash, Inc., has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.

Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) March 25, 2009 - The selection recognizes Philip DeStefano's commitment to excellence in the field of Transportation and Distribution.

Philip V. DeStefano captured the entrepreneurial spirit almost three decades ago in 1980. He was intrigued by a unique and inventive truck washing business named Fleetwash, Inc. and purchased the central New Jersey franchise from the owners, Vito DiGiovanni (Chief Executive Officer) and James DiCarlo, Jr. (Chief Environmental Officer).

After graduating High School at North Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, New Jersey in 1978, he went to work for the Lanid Corporation building Condominiums. In his short term there he worked his way up to Finish Supervisor at the Oak Knoll Village complex. This eventually led him to Red Bank, New Jersey where he managed the building and completion of the Tower Hill Townhouse project. In 1980, as the economy started to suffer and interest rates were increasing, DeStefano realized the building boom was slowing down. It was at this point he decided to grab the entrepreneurial sprit.

As Phil started his franchise with one single truck, the Flemington Company rapidly grew to 17 trucks within four years of operating in central New Jersey. The founding partners of Fleetwash Inc. and Fleetwash of Flemington agreed to join together and combine their efforts to form one company. Their collaboration was a great success, as Fleetwash presently operates over 700 trucks nationwide with 58 locations in 43 states across the country.

Fleetwash is the largest truck-washing entity in the United States. Fleetwash was the first company in 1989 to develop a Waste Water recovery procedure in the mobile truck washing industry. In 2008 alone, Fleetwash collected over 10 million gallons of Waste Water while cleaning and sanitizing over 9 million vehicles. This enables all of Fleetwash customers across the country to be in environmental compliance of storm water regulations. As a result, Fleetwash customers are able to achieve water conservation and greatly contribute to water conservation for the global "Going Green" effort.

During Mr. DeStefano's 29-year career at Fleetwash, he is presently the President of New Operations responsible for the management of all national accounts, the development of new business opportunities, new acquisitions and Greenfield opportunities. Fleetwash has created thousands of jobs in 2008, with gross receipts of $82 million dollars.

Over the years, Fleetwash has branched out into other opportunities. These value added ancillary services are a good compliment to the company. Services such as Emergency Spill Response, Equipment Sales and Service and Facility Services have allowed Fleetwash to bundle services for our customers.

In 2001, five years after opening the Florida market, Mr. DeStefano was involved in receiving the First Place Award from Orange County for the proper disposal of Waste Water Effluent from the Environmental Protection Division in a Large Business category with the Director of Operations, Bill Larney.

Mr. DeStefano has a strong passion for what he does. He enjoys building new Greenfield operations around the country and teaching new operations managers how to grow their marketplace. He points out that it is the people that make the difference, explaining that the best results come from similar goals set forth by upper management and the local operation managers, proving to be the clear leaders in the marketplace.

Mr. DeStefano has also dedicated his personal time to organizations such as the Flemington Elks. He is a past Trustee of the Elks, as well as a past Chairman for the Social and Community Welfare Committee. While serving on the Committee for four years, Mr. DeStefano contributed thousands of dollars through fundraising efforts for the Women's Crisis Center, Scholarship Funds and National Service for the Veterans.

Mr. DeStefano proudly credits the founding partners of Fleetwash with being awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Award in 1996. He also recognizes all of the ambitious and dedicated corporate officers, account managers and associates of the corporation. Without these dedicated hard-working individuals, Fleetwash would not be the largest, environmental friendly, mobile trucking washing company in the world.
