November 25, 2008 - LEVITTOWN, Maria-Pilar Gonzalez began her career as a clinical hypnotherapist in the summer of 1999 when she became certified by the prestigious International Association of Counselors and Therapist. She has been practicing since then at the Hypnotherapy & Counseling Center in Miami, Florida. Her unique background has added to her development as a therapist in understanding the different dynamics of human nature based on their cultural background.
Mrs. Gonzalez was born and raised in Germany but is of Spanish descent. In 1977 she moved with her family to the United States and has lived in Miami, Florida since then with her husband, son and daughter. Straight out of high school Maria-Pilar began a career in the legal field while she attended college. In 1999 she attended some hypnotherapy sessions and found the experience so fascinating that she enrolled in a certification course to learn more about the process she had experienced. That summer everything changed for her as she began conducting sessions and was asked to join the Hypnotherapy & Counseling Center. Since then she has been very successful in all areas of hypnotherapy, but especially enjoys working with children and teenagers.
During the course of her career as a hypnotherapist Maria-Pilar Gonzalez has made many presentations and lectures in both English and Spanish. She held a lecture at the International Association of Counselors & Therapist Annual Convention in Miami in 2006 on the topic of children. She published an article on the effects of using acupuncture together with hypnotherapy. Mrs. Gonzalez has been on talk shows on local radio programs and on local and national television programs.
Ms. Gonzalez’s primary goal is to help people in need of finding peace and wellbeing. During the private and group session in her office, she assists in smoke cessation, weight loss, eliminating stress, self-esteem issues for adults, children and teens. She also works with Past Life Regressions and other existential issues. Her clients learn that finding themselves and balancing their lives through their own will and power of mind, allows them happiness and fulfillment.
