Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease)
August 05, 2009 - The selection recognizes Gwendolyn Ross's commitment to excellence in the Information Technology and Computer Software industry.
Gwendolyn Ross, an attendee of Towson State University in Maryland, began her career in information technology over 23 years ago in 1986. Since then, she has been with COMPU-TRAIN Services developing customized training courses and materials, handling executive and managerial operations, and working closely with the sales and marketing aspect of the business.
COMPU-TRAIN Services is a company that provides software training and consulting to help individuals become more knowledgeable in computers either for their current work environment, to gain new employment, or for personal growth. They offer courses at all levels of training by teaching the latest software available by professional instructors who are both knowledgeable and personable.
They also offer customized sessions for corporations and government agencies, and students can either enter into a tutorial session or a small group of people with the same interest and skill level. Mrs. Ross believes that "customizing course content and development" enables each student to gain the most out of every course, helping them to achieve their goals. Some of the software courses include: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint, MS Access, Sharepoint, Corel Wordperfect, Corel Presentations, Groupwise, Quattro Pro, Paradox, Lotus Notes, Lotus Smart Suite, the Internet and Blackberry PDA's.
Mrs. Ross credits her mother for encouraging her to help and enlighten others by demonstrating her own skills and strengths. By providing quality customer service, professional networking and a lot of patience which is essential on the job, she's been able to balance all three to create an efficient working environment amongst her peers.
In the future, Mrs. Ross hopes to expand her training and consulting services globally to provide on-site customized software training, focusing more on the corporate world both nationally and internationally.
Gwendolyn is a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT) through Microsoft, is a member of the National Association of the Self-Employed, and a board member for the YMCA and Saving Our Sisters. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, theater, art and music.
