September 29, 2007 - Elia’s professional experience has lead her to affiliations with the MAA, NCTM, Cancer Association and selected as Mathematics Teachers of America by her colleagues ad students.
She received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Teachers’ College of Columbus University in 2005, Bachelors from Hoffstra University Majoring in Mathematics, Minor Computers and Secondary Education in 1986. Elia enjoys traveling and dancing in her spare time.
