Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) August 28, 2008 - On Thursday, September 18th at the pool terrace at The Hotel of South Beach, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami (BBBS) Black Men’s Advisory Council will host a cocktail social to raise awareness on the need for black male mentors in Miami-Dade County. The event’s hosts include some of the most influential leaders in the community, including Sekou Gary of Gary Legal Group and son of famed attorney Willie Gary; DeMarco Morgon- co-anchor at South Florida’s WTVJ NBC6; Martin Burkett- legal counsel at Akerman Senterfitt; Alex Fraser of Fraser Financial Group; Rick Adams of IBM Latin America; and Gale Nelson- Vice President of Programs for BBBs of Greater Miami. There is no cost to attend the event, and guests will enjoy complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with the requirement that each guest brings along at least one male age twenty-one or older.

Since its inception in 2006, BMAC has been quite successful in its initiatives and looks forward to enrolling new mentors who attend the cocktail social.
