BIBA launches exclusive technology facility for members

News exclusive BIBA approved ICT package for members


(1888PressRelease) May 19, 2009 - The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has launched BIBA Technology, in partnership with Redstone plc, to offer members a complete service for information and communication technology (ICT).

Members will benefit from a specially negotiated rate on many of Redstone’s services which include telephone tariffs, network infrastructures and converged communications.

Robert Cavan, Managing Director, Redstone Managed Solutions, said: “The launch of the BIBA Technology service is the latest stage in Redstone plc’s longstanding relationship with the insurance sector. BIBA members will benefit from the reassurance of knowing they are using services embraced by some of the UK’s leading general insurance organisations.”

Redstone is the only ICT supplier to be endorsed by BIBA and was awarded this status after undergoing BIBA’s formal appraisal and proposal process.

Cavan added: “By delivering trusted consultancy and proven solutions we can ensure BIBA members have the right IT and communications environment, allowing them the confidence to excel in their area of expertise and giving them cost effective business efficiencies.”

Steve Foulsham, BIBA Technical Services Manager, said: “The current economic climate means that insurers and brokers are looking for opportunities to improve service. BIBA Technology was launched by Eric Galbraith, BIBA’s chief executive, at the BIBA conference and exhibition.
