September 01, 2007 - According to Olan Chancy, president of CorFun, the business model is very simple. “CorFun establishes the online store, maintains the merchandise and handles the sales. The profits are then distributed to the store sponsor to help further its mission in the community. We're pleased to be working with a school with such a fine tradition of both scholarship and athletics. Go Pirates!"
To go live with its new eStore, the Pirate Football organization simply linked their new online store to the school’s website and began taking orders immediately.
The CorFun service is completely free for non-profit groups, which was a big selling point for a small town football team. Olan Chancy also went on to say that “While traditional fundraising still has its place, utilizing the power of the Internet simply takes the exercise of fundraising to the next level. This is truly fundraising for the 21st century!"
A further bonus is that supporters of BHS Football who do not wish to make a purchase, but do wish to support the team, can make a donation using any major credit card right on the BHS Pirate Store. "It's a win for everyone," Olan Chancy added, "If you want to support the team, and get some great merchandise, then go for it. But, you can also make a secure, online donation if you'd prefer to do that. For a non-profit, it greatly expands the fundraising potential because now the organization can accept credit cards for donations."
Please visit the BHS Pirate Store online today and be sure to contact CorFun if your non-profit would benefit from the power of 24/7 continuous fundraising!
