Having looked at the poetry available for use within wedding ceremonies and during reception speeches Kate Tym spotted a gap in the market for personalised wedding poetry and wedding readings. She has set up a niche operation creating tailor made wedding poetry operating under the name of ‘The Wedding Poet’.
The Wedding Poet can operate within a completely flexible remit and is able to produce work that is completely client led. With weddings becoming more personal and less dictated by etiquette and tradition the breadth of scope for the type of wedding poems people might like is endless. Drawing on her background as a published author with over fifteen years experience behind her The Wedding Poet is able to produce wedding poems and wedding readings of an exceptionally high professional standard which remain unique and personal to the person commissioning them.
The Wedding Poet’s writing service can also encompass a gift element – a framed keepsake version as a gift from a bride to a groom, a framed keepsake from a best friend to the happy couple. With a wedding photo inserted it provides the perfect gift to keep as a treasured memory of a wonderful day.
The Wedding Poet is able to capture the emotion and uniqueness at the heart of each client’s relationship in a way that no generic wedding poem could do. About Kate Tym:
Kate Tym has worked as a freelance writer and editor since 1998. Born in Essex in 1968, she spent most of her childhood in Northumberland before moving to London at the age of eighteen. She pursued a career in publishing working for Random House children’s books where she was Commissioning Editor. She has over thirty published children’s books to her name. She has written everything from pre-school board books to teenage fiction and has been published by Element, Puffin, Red Fox, QED, Pavillion and Brilliant Books. Kate also works as a performance poet and is available to lead poetry workshops in school settings. Kate now lives on the South Coast of England with her husband and three children.
