  • (1888PressRelease) August 15, 2009 - Beijing's Hotel G recently acquired a new general manager, Mr. Alex Chakrabati, who has developed many aspects of service and product offerings at Hotel G. The new GM will soon be holding monthly charity dinners, ensuring that the hotel gives something back to the community that has supported it so well since its opening.

The first dinner will be held on the 19th of August, when 40 members of BJ Foodies gather at the Beijing designer hotel to raise money for a charity designated by Hotel G. The two-hour dinner will raise a significant amount of money, with the full amount of all food and drink consumed donated to the charity by Hotel G.

The BJ Foodies members will also donate a percentage of their own free will to the chosen charity. BJ Foodies is a new non-profit organization consisting of locals and expats that meets on a monthly basis.

Alex Bouvier, restaurant operations manager at the Beijing hotel, is very excited about the new monthly dinners. "It's great when you have the opportunity to really give something back to the community. Everyone in the Sanlitun district here has been so positive about Hotel G, right from the time of opening. We are looking forward to giving back in whatever way possible".

Mr. Alex Chakrabati, General Manager of Hotel G, stated that this dinner is only the beginning of a tradition of social responsibility. "The divide between rich and poor in China is amazing. We're thrilled to help bridge that gap. It's not only the charities that benefit, though - I've seen a great boost in morale and team spirit since we announced these plans", said Mr. Chakrabati.
