December 17, 2007 - Billion Entertainment Worldwide dba BE WORLDWIDE will be hosting its first variety show "Take The Stage". To be held on January 26, 2008 at 7PM at the 14th Street Playhouse in Atlanta, Georgia. "Take The Stage" will spotlight the talent of designated artist and impromptu performances from audience members that attend. The show will serve as a means by which up and coming artist, musicians, actors/actresses/comedians and the alike to perform, testing their creative ability to adjust to the market/audience demands and compete for the opportunity to be deemed the performer artistic enough to take the stage.
"Take The Stage" will be a family friendly, yet amusing presentation suitable for diverse age ranges and cultures. It will emphasize the optimal influence of music on multiple forms of entertainment such as, fashion, theater, poetry, and dance. Founder and CEO of BE WORLDWIDE, JaQuanda Elder says, "my idea for Take The Stage is geared towards giving everyday people a chance at stardom, even if it's short-lived. Almost everyone that attends the show will get the opportunity to create the type of experience they want to have by engaging in the action."
"Take The Stage" will debut a couple of Atlanta's best underground artist. Which include, C. Craig along with his 4-piece band. His performance is sure to have you feeling warm and tingly on the inside as he sings about the issues of love, life and politics. Also debuting will be none other than Taytopia, an Atlanta native known for singing background and is now ready to take the stage in her own way. Showing us how the H-town gets down will be Hip Hop group Check Other. If you're tired of the norm, ready for something different, check out Check Other! The host for the evening will be author and motivational speaker, Kantis Simmons.
Not only will audience members get the opportunity to perform they will also get a chance to show off their fashion sense via the Freestyle Fashion Frenzy portion of the show. Elder states, "I am very aware that everyone can't sing, dance, or be rhythmic enough to perform spoken word pieces, but they maybe the best dressed in the audience. I didn't want to leave any stones unturned; everyone will get the opportunity to strut their stuff. From the famous words of singer/songwriter Beyonce, "If you got it, flaunt it". That is what this show is all about!
