  • Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) March 22, 2015 - Celebrating the role of sports in American history and the love of America's game, baseball, The G.W. Bush Presidential Library brings a special exhibit to Dallas today. U.S. Presidents' and America's love of baseball and traditions will highlight leaders and legends with a large graphic installation by Mecca Design and Production, a boutique scenic element and services design/build group in Dallas.

The collection celebrates Presidential first pitches, a tradition started in 1910 by President William Howard Taft. As a former baseball team captain, President G.W. Bush will be featured in addition to a large mural, 16' high by 21' wide of Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, home of the Texas Rangers, the team he partly owned from 1989 to 1998. This massive mural and video screen surround command an audience and are even more of a must-see when all lit up.

In addition to producing the three large photo graphics, Mecca crafted some beautifully detailed vinyl wall type on large displays that explain more of the history and love of the game of baseball, some famous presidential quotes, and thanks given to generous contributors. Historical memorabilia will include such treasures as Babe Ruth's leather satchel and a letter from President Franklin D. Roosevelt that "green lighted" baseball to continue during World War II. Don't miss Baseball: America's Presidents, America's Pastime beginning March 21, 2015 and running through October 4, 2015 at the George W. Bush Library at 2943 SMU Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75205.

According to Mecca Design and Production's Kenneth Mecca, "We love continuing to help the Bush Presidential library bring their exhibits to life and share glimpses of America's history and love of the game."
