May 10, 2008 - SAN FRANCISCO, CA – M. Loring Communications announced today that San Francisco-based acoustic rock band Bag of Toys has licensed “Surf Song” to REELcomp.com. The single from their hit debut album “Nooner” (released in 2006) will be used in the surf category on REELcomp.com.
Hailing from northern California, Bag of Toys is quickly becoming known as the hottest acoustic surf rock artist to hit the music scene in years. Their album “Nooner” has been sold in all 50 states and 20 countries worldwide, propelling them to the top of the rankings for unsigned acoustic artists on MySpace. Bag of Toys also received national attention from their song “Share” being featured on the Microsoft ZUNE commercials throughout 2007. Now, kicking off 2008, Bag of Toys has licensed “Surf Song” to REELcomp.com.
“I chose ‘Surf Song’ because it really captured the mood of the day, and the mood of the event as a whole. Even though there was a $50,000 cash prize, the vibe of the event was very laid back. Up next, Bag of Toys will be releasing their sophomore album entitled “Afternooner” on July 1, 2008.
