TatvaSoft reengineered their existing system and delivered a Point of Sale (POS) system that had completely automated the complex retail process, gained stock visibility, and improved efficiency. The client's business is to provide end-to-end Retail solutions to the customers since 1997. They provide the Point of Sales solution to Pharmacies, Markets, Convenient Stores and Retail outlets.
The client's existing system was based on old technology that created challenges in managing their daily operations in the Retail outlets. Moreover, the client wanted to synchronize the data across different branches and locations. An automated process was required to streamline the work process and synchronize all data into one application.
TatvaSoft reengineered the existing Point of Sales (POS) system to develop a more comprehensive client-server application. The new system was designed to automate all operations like stock, sales, purchase, customer relationship management etc. This has resulted in an automated POS system that had streamlined the Retail business activities and helped the client in managing their inventory effectively. The outcome of this window-based system were a more simplified and automated process to synchronize the data across multiple branches and head office via. online and offline mode (CD, Flash disk or other media), a licensed system to control and Till systems, currency management and exchange rates, facility to organize promotion, easy inventory transfer and management, an authorization facility for the purchase order, goods received note, purchase invoices, price change, price list, and credit customer etc., streamlined payment process, facilitated to decide different prices, a full-fledged accounting module, developed a mobile application, notifications, Reports generation and more.
The client was highly benefited with the system as the automated system has eliminated the extra steps in the store that resulted in streamlining the entire process in the retail outlets. This completely reengineered system has made the staff comfortable to work, thus quicken the POS service and improved the system efficiency. The new system presents more detailed information about customer purchase, including item purchase, description, price, promotion etc. All business processes of different branches were centralized and streamlined in a single platform.
